LAKE FOREST, Calif., January 10, 2008 – Accurate Background Inc., a solution driven leader in the background screening industry, today announced the expansion of its fingerprinting network through the purchase of assets including LiveScan capture systems and custom electronic Biometric Information Processing System (eBIT) software from Cross Match Technologies, Inc., a global provider of biometric identity management systems.
The LiveScan capture systems, eBIT technology and assumed contracts of Cross Match collection sites will strengthen the already existing Accurate Background network. With these assets, Accurate Background will expand and maximize their compliance and consolidated services by providing the only nationwide expansive network of LiveScan fingerprint collection machines.
Using conventional methods, fingerprints can take up to six weeks to verify, while digital fingerprint scans can be verified within minutes. Accurate Background’s Executive Vice President, Catherine Aldrich stated, “Our customers are interested in a single source. With this acquisition we can now offer our clients a completely integrated solution, which allows us to provide more timely decisions to our clients; while at the same time improving the applicant’s experience.”
