To assist us in processing your request, the following information is required:

  1. Your preferred method of communication for us to contact you about your request.
  2. Proof of Identity:
    • Copy of a government-issued identification document
      • Driver’s license
      • Government-issued ID
      • Passport
      • Social Security card
      • Birth certificate
    • If you have a designated representative submitting information on your behalf, then in addition to your proof of identity, your designated representative needs to submit their proof of identity and a valid power of attorney or some other documentation that authorizes the representative to act on your behalf.
  1. Trafficking Documentation:
    • Identified adverse items of information:
      • Provide the specific item(s) on your report you are seeking to block.
    • Victim determination:
      • Documentation that establishes that you were a victim of human trafficking
      • A federal, state, tribal, or other government or law enforcement entity; or
        • A non-governmental organization or members of a human trafficking task force authorized by a governmental entity to make such a determination; or
        • Documentation from a court indicating a determination by a court that you were a victim of human trafficking
        • A statement from you stating that you were a victim of human trafficking that is signed or certified by a representative of such government entity, court, or non-government organization or human trafficking task force authorized by a governmental entity to make such a determination

You may request a copy of all the information we maintain in our file about you by sending us a request in writing, along with a current picture I.D. such as:

  • Current Valid Driver’s License
  • Current Valid State Identification Card
  • Current Valid Passport

You can send your request in one of the following methods:

If you believe that any of the information in your background report is inaccurate or incomplete, you may initiate a dispute free of charge with Accurate Background. The dispute process also known as the reinvestigation process, may take up to 30 days, depending on the nature, scope and source of the information being disputed; however, Accurate Background strives to complete any reinvestigation of disputed information as soon as possible.

You may dispute your record in one of the following methods:

  1. Submitting a request through our dispute form
  2. Verbally by contacting Accurate Background’s Consumer Help Line  (844) 220-6741
  3. Via email (do not include personal identifiable information), other than full name and your contact telephone number
  4. In writing to: (Include your full name, your contact phone number and email address)

Upon receiving your dispute, Accurate Background will promptly reinvestigate the specific information/records that you are disputing. Accurate Background also has trained customer service representatives who can work with you if you need assistance identifying the specific information/records that you want to dispute.

You may request a copy of your report at any time by one of the following options:

  1. Telephone:  (844) 220-6741 for identification purposes, you will be asked a few security questions
  2. In Writing, please include the following information:

First name, Middle Name(if applicable), Last Name, Suffix(if applicable), DOB,  last 4 digits of your social security number, mailing address, city, state, zip, email address, phone number to reach you, employer you applied to work.

Please note, Accurate Background does not maintain a database from which consumer reports (background checks) are processed.  Instead, all requests for a background check are conducted only with explicit written permission by the consumer and are unique consumer reports for each request.  You may request a copy of all the information we maintain in our file about you by sending us a request in writing, along with a current picture I.D. such as:

  • Current Valid Driver’s License
  • Current Valid State Identification Card
  • Current Valid Passport
