If you believe that any of the information in your background report is inaccurate or incomplete, you may initiate a dispute free of charge with Accurate Background. The dispute process also known as the reinvestigation process, may take up to 30 days, depending on the nature, scope and source of the information being disputed; however, Accurate Background strives to complete any reinvestigation of disputed information as soon as possible.
You may dispute your record in one of the following methods:
- Submitting a request through our dispute form
- Verbally by contacting Accurate Background’s Consumer Help Line (844) 220-6741
- Via email (do not include personal identifiable information), other than full name and your contact telephone number
- In writing to: (Include your full name, your contact phone number and email address)

Upon receiving your dispute, Accurate Background will promptly reinvestigate the specific information/records that you are disputing.
